President's Report

Spring has finally arrived after an almost torturous winter in the Charm City area.  Flowers are blooming, birds are chirping and the Orioles are making a push for the postseason for the 2nd time in 3 years.

Now is also the time for you to consider how you will make a contribution to other payroll professionals.  We're looking to significantly enhance the educational information and insights over 2014 and beyond.  Please take the time to complete our survey on committee volunteering and meeting topics (link found in this newsletter).

In keeping with asking you to volunteer, I'd like to recognize Janice Cole CPP.  Not only did Janice earn her CPP in 2013, but she also stepped up as a volunteer to fill our open Treasurer position.  We look forward to the many contributions Janice will make as treasurer, to the Board and our members.

We're also looking to grow our chapter's paid membership and this month we're introducing a Membership Contest.  If you join, renew or refer someone who becomes a paid member you'll be entered into a drawing to be held at our All Day Conference on November 6th (link found in this newsletter).

Thank you again for the opportunity to serve as your chapter President.  I'm passionate about payroll and serving payroll professionals and look forward to meeting many of you at our next meeting on April 17th!
