Topic: Payroll Administration and Management
Speaker: Charlotte Hodges, CPP
Description of Topic:
In this session we will focus on the development of employee skills and core competencies as part of an overall payroll management strategy. We will explore various management practices, service level measurement methods, and effective communication techniques that can be used to efficiently respond to customer inquiries and requests.
Charlotte has over 20 years of experience in the payroll services industry and brings a wealth of experience in the area of payroll and employee benefits. Charlotte received her CPP certification in 1996. In 2011 Charlotte accepted a position as Payroll Manager with Towers Watson.
Charlotte has gained the respect of her peers both for her industry knowledge as well as for her dedication to the ethics and principles of the American Payroll Association (APA). She has contributed articles for national payroll industry publications on a range of payroll topics.
Charlotte served two terms as Vice President of the Washington Metropolitan Area Chapter of the American Payroll Association in 1999 and 2000, was President in 2001, and served as President Elect in 2013. She has also served as Chairperson on several committees within the local Chapter and currently serves as the Communications Chair.
In January 2008 Charlotte joined Bloomberg BNA as a Payroll Library/Payroll Administration Guide Advisory Board member. She currently serves as a committee member on the Marketing/Communications committee for the 2014 Virginia Statewide Payroll Conference. Charlotte is also a volunteer serving on the APA Hotline Referral Service providing assistance to APA members with payroll and benefits questions and the APA Strategic Payroll Leadership Task Force Best Practices Subcommittee.

Cancellations are allowed up to the deadline for the early registration date and are subject to a cancellation fee of $10.00. Cancellations after this date are not refundable and the full cost of the event is due. All refunds are issued by check from the CCPA made out to to the original registering party.
