James F. Eaton, III, CPA, MBA

James Eaton, a Supervisor with KatzAbosch and member of the high-net-worth and estate & trust tax groups, joined the firm in 2013. James works alongside clients’ trusted advisors such as attorneys, investment advisors and insurance brokers to help navigate the increasingly complex legal environment to achieve individual and family goals. Clients’ goals often include issues such as tax efficient inter-generational wealth transfer or structured philanthropic giving plans. James’ experience with small business and real estate taxation make him uniquely well suited to working with owners of closely held businesses on projects such as multi-year tax planning and development of business succession plans.

James has also been identified as the firm’s Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the Affordable Care Act (ACA). In addition to researching regulatory changes and disseminating program implementation information both internally and externally, James acts as an advocate for clients seeking an advisor to help them better understand the increasingly complex healthcare marketplace.

Join James Eaton and your payroll peers for up to date discussions surrounding the basics of ACA and the annual reporting due after the close of 2015. James will review:

  •        ACA fundamental terms
  •        Tracking necessary key elements for annual 1095 statements
  •        Which employers are required to report and when
  •        Reviewing data components of form 1094C and 1095C Employer/Employee annual statements

1.5 Recertification Credit Hours (RCH) will be awarded to CPP and FPC professionals for this meeting.
