Topic: 2017 Fall Outreach and APA year end

These topics provide the most recent tax law updates;  Private Debt Collection, Tax Scheme Awareness and Practitioner Data Breach. (This topic discusses tax professional data theft, phishing and protection. Resources to protect clients as well as practitioners).

 Speaker Bio:

Veronica Tubman, Senior Stakeholder Liaison, Practitioner Lead for South Carolina

Communications Liaison, Small Business/Self-Employed Division, Internal Revenue Service

Veronica Tubman leads IRS’ efforts to provide outreach, education to practitioners and other tax professionals of South Carolina. As a Senior Stakeholder Liaison, Veronica is firmly committed to increasing practitioner resources and maintaining open lines of communications. She believes it is imperative to maintain effective working partnerships with practitioners.

Before reporting to Stakeholder Liaison in February, 2008, she worked in Collection as a Revenue Officer in Baltimore.

Veronica joined the Internal Revenue Service in 1984 as a Revenue Officer in Baltimore, Maryland. Her career in Collection has led her to a diversity of positions as Locator Services Coordinator, Lead-Cost Management Tax Force, Program Analyst, Analyst and Technical Services Reviewer and Advisor. Veronica most recently worked industry partners for stakeholder liaison in Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Also Toys for Tots will be there so bring an unopened toy for donation!

Since this is a breakfast meeting, there wll be a breakfast buffet and it will include the following:

assorted fresh bagels and honey, butter, fruit preserves, regular and light cream cheese

individual low fat and regular fruit yogurts with granola topping

scrambled eggs accompanied by shredded cheddar cheese

2 Recertification Credit Hours (RCH) will be awarded to CPP and FPC professionals for this meeting.

Charm City Payroll Association registration and cancellation policy: Meeting registrations are transferable to other employees at the same company as the original registrant, provided advance notification is provided to the CCPA by clicking here. Cancellations are allowed up to the deadline for the early registration date and are subject to a cancellation fee of $10.00. Cancellations after this date are not refundable and the full cost of the event is due.  All refunds are issued by check from the CCPA made out to to the original registering party.

  2. You can register others for the meeting by selecting the desired number of Member or Non-Member tickets.  Paid members may purchase tickets for members or non-members.  Non-members may only purchase non-member tickets.
  3. If you're a member registering other members, once you've selected your tickets, use the drop down to select the member(s) you want to register.  By default, your name will populate for each ticket .  The list is sorted alpha by last name.
  4. For non-members, type in the name and email address (optional) of each attendee.
  5. Once you've selected (or typed in) your attendees, click "Continue" to complete your payment.
  6. Each attendee will receive a registration confirmation email.
