Regulatory changes making your head spin?

The only constant for payroll professionals is that government policies and regulatory requirements will continue to change on a seemingly daily basis.  Every time there's a change; we need to understand how it will impact our employees, systems, processes and staff.  Here's a great opportunity to gain insights from an industry expert to help us to better understand - and to plan - for the inevitability of change in our world.

Bloomberg BNA

Back by popular demand we welcome Michael Baer, managing editor of Bloomberg BNA’s Payroll, Compensation and Benefits Library services.  At our April 18th luncheon meeting Michael will provide an update of the recent and upcoming changes, covering topics such as:

  • Overall government update
  • Impact of the (anticipated) President’s Proposed budget
  • Implementation of Health Care Act
  • Coming Initiatives
  • What is being pursued by the President and the White House
  • Mobile Workforce Act

Come prepared with your questions - and business cards to share during the always popular networking opportunities during our meeting.

CPPFPC LogoAre you interested in enhancing your career and expanding your knowledge?  You might be ready to consider earning your CPP or FCP.

The Charm City Payroll Association is here to help you.

The CCPA annual CPP review class is now open for registration.  There are a few enhancements this year:

  1. The 2013 review classes will be a combination of 4 in-person sessions (held at the BWI Marriott) and on-line "virtual sessions"  This has allowed us to reduce your fees, while at the same time providing an environment that allows you to participate and learn from the convenience of your home or office.  You will need broadband internet connection and a phone line to join the virtual sessions.
  2. In prior years class participation has been restricted to CCPA (BMAC-APA) paid members only.   For 2013 we are opening this up to non-members as well.

Join your 9,400+ peers who have attained their CPP or 3,500 who have earned their FPC.  Click here or the link to the left for more information or to register.
